Warranty Policy

Grit scooters are designed for freestyle scootering and scootering is an extreme sport and riders are constantly trying to develop their skill level which is great for the progression of the sport. Unfortunately, due to this, products will get damaged, crashes or bails from tricks in skate parks and on the street as new and more tricks are learnt and executed.

It is also the reason why we have different scooters offering different specifications for different intended uses be it beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.   You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.   You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

At Grit we are proud of our products and provide warranty against manufacturer defects, for the original owner, up to 12 months from the date of purchase from an Authorised Retailer. Damage due to misuse, abuse, modification, and regular wear and tear is excluded, and please note that ‘self-repairs’ prior to a warranty claim void this warranty, and claims will be assessed at our discretion. Warranty does not cover wheels or bearings, chips, scratches, chunking, flat spots, bending, snapping, cracking or other damage of parts. Approved warranty claims will be repaired or replaced, at our discretion, at no cost to the customer.

The final claim is at the discretion Grit Scooters, and no warranty claim is guaranteed.   We reserve the right to deny any warranty claim and will never issue credit or a cash refund.  At our discretion, we may offer a replacement part at a reduced retail price where a product is deemed not covered under warranty.

You must be the original owner and able to provide proof of purchase (credit card receipt is fine) and provide at least two photos of your scooter, one of the damaged part and one of the complete scooter.   We may request additional photo’s should we wish to further assess your claim.

You must email info@gritscooters.com.au, with the above detail, plus your full name, address and mobile number, to make a warranty claim.  We will then assess your claim, and advise you of the outcome. Should we require the goods returned, we will offer a return solution at no cost to the claimant. If we deem spare parts will fix the issue, we will send the parts at no cost to the claimant.

The item arrived damaged or missing items

All orders leave our warehouse in brand new undamaged condition. If your item arrives damaged or missing items, we will gladly replace the damaged or missing parts to you. Should we require the goods returned, we will offer a return solution. NOTE that ‘self-repairs’ prior to a warranty claim void this warranty, as will incorrect assembly, or failure to follow assembly instructions.    

All claims for damaged or missing items must be made within 2 business days of receiving your order. It is important that you open your order as soon as you get it, and notify us immediately if there is any damage.   Please take photographs of any damage and email them to us at info@gritscooters.com.au.  Do not send the item back, until we advise next steps. We will assess the parts required from the photographs supplied. We will either repair or replace the product for you, or if stocks are exhausted, offer a similar product as a replacement at no cost to the claimant.
